Additional Information

Munchee Bebe is the smallest of all the Munchee appliances and was developed to assist babies with establishing essential nose breathing patterns and improving tone and function of the muscles of the lips, face and jaws.

Suck-Swallow-Breathe is an essential synchrony for babies. When there is dysfunction with this process it can lead to problems such as mouth breathing and loss of tone of facial muscles.

The Bebe is made of soft, flexible silicone which is perfect for babies as they go through this "oral phase” of development.

The babies love to engage with the Bebe and find it enjoyable and soothing. Bebe is great for stimulating the gums during teething and actively engages the chew reflexes that are present.

When the baby has the Bebe in their mouth they are not able to breathe through their mouth so they actively start to breathe through their nose. The Bebe only needs to be in their mouth for very short periods of time to have benefits. (10-20 seconds at a time is great). Bebe helps them to learn how to co-ordinate chew - swallow - breathe which is a neurological pattern that we use for life.

This appliance is perfect for the 6 -18 month age group and should always be used with the guidance to of an educated practitioner to get best outcomes.
